Halee Whiting is a creative, outside-of-the-box, seasoned hospitality professional that offers a different perspective on sales, marketing and content creation. She decided to create Hospitality with a Flair because helping hotels is her passion. After an extensive work history with various brands and independent hotels on property and in a remote capacity she knew with that hotels could be serviced and helped better.
The mission of Hospitality with a Flair is to create custom sales approaches for hotels. A one size fits all hotel sales support service does not work for every property. Halee's approach is to work together with hotel owners to create a service plan with them that will strengthen the hotel's personal brand, create elevated experiences for the hotel's guests and increase revenue!
Prior to founding Hospitality with a Flair, Halee has worked in the hospitality industry for 14+ years. She started in housekeeping and at the front desk. From there she soared into Sales & Catering by force in many different managerial roles. Her most recent role prior included being a Regional Director of Sales over a portfolio of up to 13+ hotels from independents to various brands like Hilton, Choice, IHG, Wyndham, GrandStay and Red Lion. Halee also has experience with Casino Hotels, Radisson and Best Western. She has also served as the youngest Hotel Executive Committee Chair for her local CVB and even chaired her own committee that specialized in Travel/Tour/FIT destination sales. When she doesn't have her hands in hotel work, she is writing for her own travel blog, recording the All is Fair in Love & RevPar Podcast, and keeping her family busy!
Shontina began her career in hospitality 7 years ago after holding senior level positions with the IRS and in the Airline Industry. Her experiences in hospitality include Marriott, Choice, IHG, Hilton, Best Western, Wyndham and Hyatt Brands. Her roles were Director of Sales & Marketing and Regional Director of Sales. During her tenure, she maintained strong relationships with her customers and focused on growth averaging over $2 million in sales. Her focus has been Corporate BT, Groups, SMERF, Government and Revenue Management with forecasting.
She holds a BA in Accounting and MBA in Business Management, having graduated Magna Cum Laude. She is the recipient of the President Barack Obama Gold Volunteer Service Award.
She was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois but currently resides in Frisco, Texas. She loves spending time with her family, especially her three grandsons, and traveling abroad. When she’s not working, she enjoys watching movies and cheering for her favorite teams: Chicago Bears, Pittsburgh Steelers and the Chicago Cubs!
Alysha found her passion within hospitality industry early on at the young age of 15, where she started as a Front Desk Agent at a locally owned Days Inn & Suites. Shortly after graduating from Baylor University in 2014, she transitioned into sales. Since then, she quickly excelled in her role in leading teams that oversaw various brands across multiple markets. Her experience include roles with Wyndham, IHG, Marriott, Hilton, Radisson, and Best Western. During her tenure, she has created impactful relationships within the respective brands leadership teams, travel agencies, property management companies and more.
Alysha is a native Texan but loves to travel extensively. While COVID has set her back with her travel plans, she fully intends on making up for lost time in the years to come!
